Armin Arlert lost his hearing eight years ago due to events that are forever sketched in his mind. Throughout those eight years, he's gone through so much bullying due to his lack of hearing. He never understood why being deaf changed his life, he never understood why people would treat him differently just because he can't hear.
And then Eren Jaeger stepped into his life.
Not only did Eren bully Armin, but when he found out he was deaf, he treated Armin so differently, nobody has ever been so hurtful even though Eren doesn't want to hurt him anymore. And why doesn't Eren physically bully him anymore?
Because he's deaf.
Why? Why do you get treated differently when you don't hear any sounds? Armin still doesn't know, and maybe that's a good thing.
